Saturday afternoon, and we were headed east on Interstate 10 from Phoenix to Tucson. Most of the highway is marked for 75 miles per hour.
This modern day conestoga wagon has Mexico license plates, too much cargo for the pickup bed, and darn little holding the whole thing together.
One man's trash is another man's treasure, and it's not unusual to see overloaded pickup trucks like this heading down I-10 to I-19, and ultimately to Mexico.
This load didn't look like it was going to make it the next ten miles, let alone the 100 miles to Mexico!
I wasn't real comfortable thinking about all that cargo spilling loose and coming through my windshield, so I floored it a little to get past him.
As I approached, I took these two photos for your viewing pleasure!
