8:30 a.m. Arizona Daily Star's above-the-fold headline in big, bold typeface reads: Fraud suit filed against Tucson real estate group.
The complaint by the AZ Attorney General's office includes the company where I'm a loan officer, Tucson Mortgage Company, LLC.
8:40 a.m. This is not good. I call my Darlin' to break the news.
The press release by the AG's office includes the following language:
Defendants RE/MAX and Tucson Mortgage, and their respective owners and/or supervisors allegedly profited from the scheme and either knew or should have known of the fraud being perpetrated against lenders in these real estate transactions.
9:48 a.m. The first email out of corporate announces that effective immediately, loans from Tucson Mortgage will no longer be accepted by one major bank. All loans in the pipeline will be honored.
10:31 a.m. Email: a second major bank will no longer accept loans from Tucson Mortgage. Loans in the pipeline will be honored, but will go to corporate for review.
10:47 a.m. Fax machine spits out a loan approval from an underwriter at the first bank to shut us down an hour earlier: Clear to Close on one of my pipeline loans. Thank you, God!
11:00 a.m. A principle from another mortgage company calls to see if I'm interested in coming on board. I don't know, but thanks.
1:20 p.m. I have a $349,000 VA purchase application (referred by a REALTOR) that's been in the works since January. The buyers finally have a signed contract on a bank-owned property. The bank wants to close yesterday?!
I email the borrowers and the REALTOR (who's on vacation in the Carribean) that it would be in their best interest to place the loan with another mortgage company, citing today's headline. I'll help expedite in any way they deem helpful.
3:15 p.m. Message on my Blackberry from another mortgage company. A phone call turns into an interview with a principle of the company. I still don't know, but it's nice to be wanted.
4:10 p.m. Driving to a 4:30 closing, I call my pastor and tell him what's going down. He prays with me on the phone and suggests that I think of a way to start a networking group of the unemployed people like me in our congregation. That brings a smile. I can do that.
4:30 p.m. Closing at title on a rate & term refinance (the one I blogged about last month where the appraisal got knocked way down and we extended the lock out to 60 days.) Sitting in the lobby of the title company, I tell my client about the news, and ask her to put me on the prayer list. (I believe in prayer, as does this client.)
My client works for one of Tucson's major employers, and she suggests that I go on their HR website and look through the positions that are open in the company. "Use my name as a reference," she said. Wow! I hadn't thought about changing careers for the fifth time in my life...
5:30 p.m. Dinner with my Darlin' and two of her girlfriends at the Elle Wine Country Restaurant. Smiles, joy and thankfulness.
11:00 p.m. Writing this post, I'm reminded of the verse in Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "...plans to give you hope and a future." I'll sleep well tonight.

Mike: Wow... what a day. I think it was truly a blessing of sorts that your day was so crammed with stuff to do that you did not have large blocks of time to sit and worry about what was going to happen next. Now that it's a bit later in the day... hopefully your heart rate has come back down to somewhere approaching normal. Somehow you will be fine, I am sure. It sounds like your loan officer services are in demand... and that fact must at least be a boost to your self confidence.
You are in my thoughts, young man. Count your blessings. It sounds like having a very understanding wife is one of those blessings. Be thankful. Take care...
Mike, wow what a day! Definitely in my prayers - you are one of my favorites here in the Rain. Something tells me that God has good plans for you.
OMG...You know, HOPEFULLY the people of Tucson, being who they are...will not equate YOU with the problem!
You are in MY prayers my friend! BTW- ANYONE reading this.....ANYONE
Mike did my PARENTS MORTGAGE, and my COUSINS mortgage! I have no worries or fear!
Darin
Wow Mike! That sounds like a rough day! You have such a great calm attitude. Maybe I need to pray more;). As you already know everything will be fine since it is not in your hands!
Todd & Erin,
Thanks; I do have a calm attitude because I know God's going to take care of us.
Darin,
I don't think it will affect me personally as a lender; I'll let you know where I land. THANKS for the promo!
Kate,
Your smile makes me smile every time! Thanks, kiddo!
Karen Ann,
I can't remember the last time someone called me "young man." You brought a grin to my mug! Thanks for being the first to comment.
Mike in Tucson
Don't most 60 year olds want to be unemployed? I know I will.
You know what happens my friend, when one door closes, another opens. I KNOW more doors will be opening for you and this will be looked back on as a blessing. Trust and faith my friend, you seem to be in good spirits, sleep well and know you're in our thoughts and prayers. :-)
Mike,
You are looking forward, not back and that is the only attitude to take. Sometimes God needs to take us to another level.....He has great new things in store for you in your life. And you are ready. Keep us posted.
Mike good wishes to you and your family. While you ponder all the choices you will have about a new company or a new career, we will get to enjoy you here on the rain. Anyone with the honesty and intregrity you display will do well at whatever he choses to do.
Im sure you will be with another company ASAP. There are many out there that will welcome you with open arms. What a mess for you.
Mike,
I know that you will sleep well every night because you are looking in the right direction my friend, UP.
Another casualty of the mortgage mess. Although, these "rent-to-own" schemes predate the mortgage mess of the past 3 years which reached about $3.5TRILLION in damage to the American economy.
I was approached by a company to find homes for them to "buy" under "contract for deed" contracts in Maryland a while ago. They planned to hold the homes in their portfolio, "resell" them under "rent-to-own" contracts. Not a problem??? Mmmm. A trip to the county office of land records showed that a number of the homes this company had acquired by "land contracts" had foreclosure actions filed. Clearly a fraudulent scheme to collect rents and not make mortgage payments.
I can smell fraud when it enters the room. These guys reeked of fraud.
I reported them to the AG office in MD and they were put out of business. I don't know what happened to the families to whom they sold the "rent-to-own" homes. The folks had moved in and paid rent to the perps. Sadly, they were not making mortgage payments and the many of the homes were on the way to foreclosure.
What is rarely written about when the AG offices report the schemes and the prosecution is the harm done to innocent employees of the companies with crooks at the helm.
Hang in. You'll land on your feet. Go take another photo of the Tucson sunset.
Ouch! Sorry to hear about this Mike. I am sure that better days are ahead. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers...
Mike I heard about the news. I have a close friend here in Phoenix that knows the principal of that company. The One above has a place picked out for you. Go for it.
From reading your post and other posts that you have written, from reading your comments to others that are dealing with tough times, from visiting with you on the phone more than once, I have confidence that this will be a positive turn in your life. I also believe that you will not make a decision until you're sure it's in God's plan. My prayer is, "Father, I rejoice with Mike in the good change that You are going to bring about in his life!". God Bless!
Mike -
Who would have predicted this kind of thing three years ago?
You'll do ok - you're qualified, and compassionate, and well respected by your peers.
But your story is not unique, multiplied again and again across the country over the last couple of years, and many will not be as resillient as you.
Thanks for the share - and continue to have faith!
DEAN & DEAN'S TEAM CHICAGO
The fact that you were getting job offers within a couple hours of the breaking news says ALOT about the respect and recognition you have earned for yourself.
Or maybe this is time to open up your own shop?!?
My father used to say, "Look at every knock as a boost".....we have...and it is...and so it will be for you as well...!
Yes, God has a plan. I have always believed when one door closes, another one opens. Good Luck and keep believing.
Patricia Aulson/Portsmouth NH
Wow - Thanks for putting a personal face on the headlines that we read everyday. I do not personally know you, but by reading your posts, feel I do. I am sure any company would be honored to have you and am just as sure you will be ordering new business cards shortly! Take care. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dick and Dixie Sells
Wow-I wish you all the best. Cannot keep a good man down
Do not worry, commission positions are still open for seniors that can produce. Might be a good time for that long deferred vacation while you decide on your next step.
Great attitude! I wonder what God has in store for you next. Keep looking up and all will be fine.
Mike I wish I could put into words how horribly I feel for you. Coming out of the blue like this has to add to the shock and sense of unbalance that this must make you feel.
You're one of the good guys. Obviously that shines through because you have received calls for employment within minutes of the news breaking.
60 or 70 or 80..doesn't matter with the industry that you are in. People need honest competent professionals.
Hi Mike - I heard about your post from Maureen McCabe. Sorry to hear about this happening to you, The people who've done that kind of stuff deserve to be caught and brought down. Unfortunately, there are plenty of innocent people who end up in situations just like yours. From what I've read, I've no doubt you'll land on your feet, and as others said, when one door closes another one opens. May that new door be all you want it to be and then some.
Best of luck to you,
Ann
Mike. . no one can take away your determination and your talents,. . . sometimes a change does good.. .don't look back!
Mike...
Another one of life's little bumps, you'll do fine because you WANT to do fine. However, the stress of dealing with clients in process is never a good thing. Take care, we're here for you!
Mike - it's hard to have your name associated with events that do not reflect your personal integrity, or values. As the days and weeks progress, remember that the implications are almost never the whole story... and it can get twisted Having an opportunity to work with other people in transition is a great way to plan the next steps! Prayer and Proactive Planning will help you get to the spot you need to be in!
MIke, I'm sorry to hear this. It just shows how life can blindside us at times. Just hang in there and keep moving forward. You are in my prayers my friend.
Something great is right around the corner!!!
Mike it's 7/11 and by now you most likely slept well and perhpas have a few more opportunities coming your way. I'm sure it's been a wild ride and somehow I know something really good will come from this mess for you. Silver lining? Absolultely. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
Mr. Jones/Mike - This very post reminds me of why I should have stopped by more often. You, my peer, seem exactly the type of guy that belongs in this business. I so admire your honesty and transparency that I won't pretend to hide it behind a veil of not articulating it correctly. Unemployed at 60, eh? Shit man, seems to me that you aren't only a good guy in the Mortgage Biz, but more importantly, a good guy in life.
"5:30 p.m. Dinner with my Darlin' and two of her girlfriends at the Elle Wine Country Restaurant. Smiles, joy and thankfulness.
11:00 p.m. Writing this post, I'm reminded of the verse in Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "...plans to give you hope and a future." I'll sleep well tonight."
That is so beautiful, man. So very beautiful. I think I learned something from this one. You don't need luck, you need some bastard out there who recognizes your talent and integrity. I have a feeling that you will sleep well going forward, with a lot of hope and an abundant future. The lucky one will be the bastard that finds you.
Sorry, potty mouth runs in my family;)
Mike, wow what a day! I'm so sorry to read what happened to you. It sounds like you're the kind of guy who is able to handle such things and yet still, it stinks. I am a believer that when one door closes another opens. Hang in there! Wish you the best!
Mike,
I am shocked, but not shocked. In this meltdown climate ... well, anything can happen and usually does.
This whole thing is unsettling, at best, but you are a man of integrity who is well respected - both as a loan officer and a person. You will land on your feet in a better situation. I just know it. God is coaching your team and it's your turn at bat.
Change and challenge keeps us humble. Reminds us of where we came from - albeit not so gently sometimes. I've changed careers enough times to know it's God's way of telling us we are capable of so much more.
Call me if there is anything I can do. Even if you just want to vent. We all need that at times, too.
I'll be saying prayers and sending them on the direct line. He is watching, waiting ... and soon reveal the magnificent plan that is yours. Let Ginny know that you both are embraced by an incredibly supportive 'family' here in the Rain.
God bless, my friend.
Morning Mike, now that was a tough blog read. You are one positive and good hearted soul, goodness it was mere minutes and you had people clamoring to snap you up! Kinda speaks volumes doesn't it?
Thinking good thoughts for you & your family Mike.
hang in there buddy. You are an inspiration to all of us!
Mike - Wow ! What a day indeed ! Love your attitude and perseverance. Faith is very powerful ! My wife Stephanie says frequently that "Leap and the net will appear" . Best of luck in this stressful transition. But you may not need any luck as it sounds like your faith will be the strength that is needed : )
Now THAT is a stressful day! I don't think any of us can hold a candle to that. Kudos to you for keeping a clear head in the midst of chaos and solving the problems as they arose. BIGGER kudos to you for putting the whole mess in the hands of our Lord who certainly does have a future and a hope for you! I love that part the best and have no doubt that you will come through this a better and stronger person! Keep the faith!
Blessings,
Mike,
You have a great attitude and focus. You are in my prayers and I know that you will have a many opportunities because of your character.
Mike, I am so sorry you were caught up in this mess by association. Obvioulsy you would never do anything like that. After the shock has worn off, you will know what your next step is. It will be better, you already have people seeking you out so the open door will be better.
(((hugs))) (((prayers))) for you and your family.
This is an interesting statement in the press release: and either knew or should have known of the fraud being perpetrated against lenders in these real estate transactions.
Ouch wake up call for Brokers to look at those transactions carefully. Sounds like they should have seen a pattern. Unfortunately I know many brokers don't do much supervising.
Wow. What a wild ride. Sounds like whatever happens, you will land on your feet. Best wishes.
Mike - You are in my thoughts! Changing career course can sometimes be uncomfortable, but knowing you like I do, I suspect you will turn this into a very new and exciting adventure. Somehow, I think there's a better plan for you!
Hi Mike:
My goodness...what a mess.
Best of luck to you and your family.
I'm sure you will be fine. It's obvious that you have a great reputation.
HELLO MIKE -- I saw this yesterday morning and thought of you right away. I'm on vacation and was happy to log onto AR and see this on the front page! I'm glad you slept well and I know with the attitude and beliefs reflected in this post and all your others - you'll shine no matter the direction the road takes you - Gabrielle
Mike, you definitely have a great attitude...and, your future looks great because you have God on your side.
BTW...love the title of this post.
Mike - A real in the caboose..but you have the right attitude. If a door closes, a better one opens. We just have to keep ourselves focused on the right things. Sounds like you have that in hand. Good luck.
I hope you can pray with your eyes open, especially when you are driving. I know innocent until proven guilty, but why do people risk their freedom on a quick buck? I have worked with investors for over 16 years, and i have spoken at meetings of investors around the country. I hear the craziest schemes that could rival this one. Please if we are going to have regulations let's enact the if it seems to good to be true, it isn't true regulation. Reading your post, and seeing your knowledge, and juding from the immediate calls you have received, your reputation is intact and desired.
Mike - I am a firm believer in "everything happens for a reason." There have been several occasions that I've questioned this belief, but it has ALWAYS worked out for the better. I'm confident you'll do great things in the future.
Morning Mike, Yikes, what a " time line " you provide. Glad to see you are taking it in stride. The wind just changed direction - go with it !
Mike - It's all about what folks really know about you and it appears there are ALOT of good folks who know how good you are! Hopefully this heart-stopper will be short lived for you and you will be set on a better path you might not have found otherwise! Best of everything!
Hey Dad,
Just read the blog. We'll be asking God not for just a good job, but for the right one. Love your perspective, and how you choose to move with what each new day brings. You've always been able to build back up to the top, even from scratch, and I've always respected that about you. It's fun to see how many people have already commented so far with encouraging words :o)
I'm excited for you guys, for what our Father is going to bring... I think it's going to be good... really good.
Hi to Ginny!
Love you.
Good morning all!
My Darlin' and I are traveling today, and I won't be able to comment back on all of your comments. Please know we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Something that Missy Caulk said bears repeating:
This is an interesting statement in the press release: and either knew or should have known of the fraud being perpetrated against lenders in these real estate transactions. Ouch! Wake up call for brokers..."
Love to all of you; you have no idea what an uplifting feeling your comments and support mean to us.
Mike in Tucson
Mike, big Bro! It's always something, isn't it? Kathie and I are so sorry to hear about this issue, I know it will be a terrible inconvenience for you, although we know you will get through it. Don't hesitate to look to your support group at Active Rain... I'll chat with you later.
I was talking with Nancy when your email came up about "RETIREMENT" - what a shock. She sends her love and prayers to you too.
You know if you need a vacation and some time to reflect you can come stay with us or use our condo in Florida - a break might be the best thing for you guys right now. I'll cook!
John and I love you both and we will be praying for you. If we can do anything, please call. Love and Hugs from Kathie
Mike, fortunately it looks like you've got quite a few things to fall back on regardless of what happens with your current company. Good luck with whatever your decision is!
Chanda panda
Wow, Mike. I read those headlines up here in the Republic, but I didn't put two and two together. Tucson Mortgage didn't register (you have branded yourself quite effectively as simply Mike in Tucson). What a tremendous opportunity to figure out exactly what you want to do at this point of your life and where you want to do it. One door closes and an infinite number of others open. Best of luck sorting through all of the recruitment letters to find the one you really want.
What an incredible journey you are about to embark on Mike! As Brad said, as one door closes, another will open. I have no doubt you will open a wonderful new and prosperous door. . . Please keep us updated -
I just saw this now and my first reaction is to feel the kick in the stomach it must have felt like when you first heard the news. I'm reminded of a statement made to me many years ago. "If you don't make a change yourself, life will do it for you." I truly believe if you're meant to be somewhere else, walking another path, your step will be gently guided in that direction. Best of luck choosing from all the possibilities laid out before you.
Mike, my thoughts and prayers for your best and for what lies ahead for you. This is certainly an unexpected "bump" in the road for the company you are associated with, and has nothing to do with you. You'll end up fine and land on your feet. The great ones like yourself always do!!
If I know the Mike we've grown with here on AR ...I KNOW you have the ability, the know how and the drive...to just pick back up and do whatever your heart desires!
You will be taken care of. Don't worry, God is on your side.
Firstly, I'm not worried too much about you, Mike. I'll bet you have 8-10 more calls, like the ones you already received, about a "job".
Secondly, I wonder how legitimate the fraud allegation is. Even so, the problem with financial services is that Tucson Mortgage, LLC is now guilty, in the eyes of the lender affiliates, regardless of the eventual outcome.
Enjoy the 3-day weekend; I'll bet you're back in business on Tuesday. You just can't keep a good man down.
PS: If you're an Arizona REALTOR, take note of what Mike just did; he's not hiding from anyone. Oftentimes, loan originators have no control over the actions of other originators in their company. Moreover, Mike's reputation for "client above self" is demonstrable. This guy's gonna be with another mortgage outfit, by 5PM on Monday (if he chooses to).
Basically, you can be confident that it will be "business as ususal" as soon as Mike solves this tiny problem
Mike - Your post is the perfect example of triumphing over tragedy, and I believe you will do so. Your decision to pray at that moment and put in action a prayer team demonstrates your faithfulness and it hasn't gone unnoticed by God. Great things are in store for you! While we don't understand why things happen at the time, you have to believe God has His hand in it.
Mike, What a wild day that must have been. You seem like a wonderful person and from all of the comments I have read, everyone agrees. Things happen for a reason. I can't wait to read a post from you soon about your success in your new job/career. When a door closes, look for a window :)
I hope you enjoy your weekend. Praying for you and your family.
From your post I know you don't need my thoughts and prayers, but I will anyway. You handled a very rough day with great dignity and resolve. I know a person like you will be just fine. God Bless!
Even if this does turn out to be a blessing in disguise, it still is a terrible feeling and all type of doubts and fears surface, Mike. I'm hoping your Darlin' and your trip help keep the angst away a while. It will all pass but the interim sucks.
Sending you both a big NJ hug!
Mike: And I thought I was having a bad day yesterday! One door closes, the next opens. I only know you via AR, and you come across like a standup guy... Maybe, the best is yet to come! Take care...
Well done!
On the plus, I'd rather be unemployed then being charged with fraud (and facing a jail sentence) YIKES!! Best wishes your way . . .
Mike, you can count on my prayers too.
Mike - your attitude and outlook on life are inspiring. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your darlin'. Can't wait to hear what happens next on your journey...
Mike:
This may be a low point but you have a positive attitude and the only direction for you will be up. My prayers are with you.
Good luck Mike. By the sounds of it you'll have your pick of job positions when it comes time to move.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the call, I haven't been around here much...
I had to stop at Cheryl's comment about opening your own shop. Now that sounds like a plan. I have no idea what's required to open a new mortgage company, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea. You would be able to call the shots and keep the bad guys out!
Praying for peace!
Hang in there -- you will do well -- get a new gig and never look back. All the best.
Good Lord Mike...
Talk about being caught in the fall out. I'm so sorry this has happened. I just hate to see someone caught up in such a nasty mess. I am a little concerned that this suit is being brought by the AG. That just can't be good :(
TLW...ROAR!
Mike,
I know you had nothing to do with the silly FRAUD that was the BIG Story this week in Tucson. We are RE/MAX Majestic had nothing to do with it either. Unfortunately the guy Andrew Silverstein at RE/MAX All Executives did.
Keep your chin up and go talk to Hunter Sampsel at American Home Mortgage. he is one of the most honest guys I've met in 14 years lbeing in the lending business.
Keep the faith brother...
Jeff Wilhems
Mike, I hope Monday brings better news!! But you might have to make that terrible decision to change companies and leave what might turn out to be a sinking ship.
You are in my prayers, Mike. I know you will find that opened window. Just remember, when you are all the way down the only way to go is UP!!
Yako, you are going to land on your feet. Minesh would say to write a book. I know you would write a great one! In the meantime, let's look to the Paho Kaputaono. --Morgan
My favorite verse which has upheld me many times in the past as it will uphold you and your family at this time. It is SO true.
Best of luck in all.
I think I would start taking the job offers more seriously. It's not good when the parent company goes bad.
Mike, I have enjoyed getting to know you on AR and I am convinced that you'll land on your feet. It seems as though before you even blogged this post, your future employment fate was already taking a positive turn. I'll be saying a prayer for you!
Nice to have a service others want. Sounds like several opportunities. Good luck Mike.
You're right. We sometimes meet with an unplanned diversion in life's path. We really didn't plan to go that way, but somehow it happened. I have found that when that happens, everything works out in the end, just not the way I would have chosen...but it's all just fine!
Hi Mike~ I just love your fantastic attitude. That is one of the reasons why I am sure you will be much better off in the long run. Someone is going to snatch you right up or you are going to move right on into bigger and better things......
All,
I've just gotten home after a long productive day, and six hours driving. THANK YOU all so very much for your kindness and encouragement! I intend to thank each of you personally over the next several days. In the meantime, I'll see you on your blogs here in the Rain!
Mike in Tucson
Hey Mike,
Sometimes bad things turn into real blessings. It sound like opportunity is not just knocking on your door, it's POUNDING on your door! :)
I do read the Tucson headlines waaaaaaay over here in CT.. You never entered my mind, as someone associated with this recent bad news! All I can say is "Y yo os digo: Pedid, y se os dará; buscad, y hallaréis; llamad, y os será abierto."LUCAS 11:9 Reina Valera 1909!!
Godspeed,
Dawn and John
PS. John is home for a brief 20 days, then back to SWA on the 27th. I'll check back with you when we return from our 20th anniversary celebration vacation!
Mike, how did I miss this? I'm late to comment, but I do want to add my prayers to all the others. 'Hard to be positive, but somehow it's always true... when one door closes, another opens. I'm sure there's a pleasant surprise on the other side of that door for you.
Mike - the verse at the end says it all. So many of us are facing huge challenges right now, including those still employed but wondering. Having a sense of peace and knowing that there is a plan (even if we can't see it right now) can make all the difference. Thank you for sharing so much.
Penny,
Yes it does, doesn't it? That's why we're not anxious about the coming week.
Margaret,
Thank you! It's been too long since I visited your blog.
Dawn & John,
"Ask, and it shall be given unto you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and the door shall be opened unto you" I didn't know you spoke Spanish! Thanks for this verse to begin my Sunday!
Mike in Tucson
Uncle Mike,
We're behind you! Please know that your BNI friends and family are here!
Love ya Mikey!

Mike: You have to go through the valley to reach the mountain top. Sometimes it seems like we live in the valley and you have to stay there until you can climb to the top of the mountain again. It sound like you have many prayers and good thought around you, mine as well. Hang in their buddy!
Mike: Last Oct. at our regular sales meeting our boss strolled up to the white board and without saying a word, wrote these 2 words:
"I'm done"
There was a stunned silence, and then he announced the office would close in 2 weeks.
I sympathize with your position, and know what you are going through (without the part of the bad press)
Yes, I did consider leaving the mortgage business (for reasons those of us within the business can understand easily)
In the end, I landed somewhere better, but it was not easy, cost me business for sure, and was an emotional upheaval as well.
Best of luck, and we ARE praying for you.
Yikes ! It is enough to get you to stop reading the morning paper.
Best wishes, Mike. I believe in you and, most important, that God you believe in believes in you too.
I look forward to the next chapter of your story - the one with the happier plot line...
Howdy there Mike, my friend
Sorry for not leaven a comment to you sooner.
When I first read this here post by you, I sure could not believe my friend, Mike in Tucson was going through this. I was hoppen it was some kind of bad blogging dream I was a haven.
I sure do know one thing for sure, what ever it is that the AZ Attorney General's office. Think's was be-en done, I know deep inside, my friend was not at all any part of it.
When ya are a riden though H... just hold on to the reins tight and ride fast. And that there old devil so and so, won't get a hold of ya!
Mike - my friend, my prayers sure are with ya!
If-en theres anything I can do, just let me know!
We call upon the earth, our planet home, with its beautiful depths and soaring heights, its vitality and abundance of life, and together we ask that it. Teach us and show us the way.
Hi Mike
We are back in Radar...so sorry to hear about this...let us know how we can help in any way
Anne and Eddie
OMG Mike that is terrible news!! You are definitely in my thoughts and prayers. Anyone who knows you, knows you had no part in ANY kind of fraud!! But as many have said, when one door closes another opens and it looks like a few have opened already! I have not doubt you won't be "unemployed" for long!! Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you or your family.
I am sorry you have to go through this, Mike.
You will be fine. You have the 3 E's - Your expertise, experience and ethics will be needed elsewhere.
Hi Mike! I couldn't have said it better than Brad himself--Trust and Faith, all you need! You have a great attitude and I'm sure with your experience and reputation, a bigger, better door will open for you. As others, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
It has all been said, and you sound like you are already on the back side of this. It is nice that you have a wonderful partner to share the upheaval with...and if you are just a little down, watch "The Sound of Music". The faith in that movie transcends all limitations, and makes a believer in overcoming obstacles out of anyone who has "hope". Plus it is just plain fun to sing! African Queen is another one! Best wishes for your future position:-)
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. You're the kind that makes our country great. I'm sure you'll be fine. Gods blessings to ya!
Mike - Your Faith will be your rock. Chin up. You have a big following. I'll bet your clients will continue to follow you. I know I would
As the lovely lady said who visited my open house today, a youth and choir director at her church: Prayers go up and blessings come down." There's a multitude of prayers going up for you--the blessings will follow and you will be better for all of this.
If attitude is everything, then I'm going to say, you have it all. Bestest wishe and prayers.
Gosh Mike, I hope you are blessed with the right decision & supportive friends & family to help you make that decision. At least you know you are valued, heck you've had 2 mini-job interviews. Yikes, what a day!
Mike,
I have absolutely no worries for you either. It might be a shock, but I am certain you are wise and have put yourself in a position to weather the storm. A concept frequently discussed in LDS circles is whether we are in the position of acting or being acted upon (based upon our own attitudes, decisions, and actions). I know you to be an actor, you are responsible and accountable to and for yourself. I can't wait to see what you turn this setback into.
I also know you are protected by what what you have sent out. You've helped MANY (and I've only known you for a few months 1.5 hours a week!) get what they want. Well, it's time for some karmic rebound.
"When life gives you lemons, make grape juice. Then enjoy watching them try to figure out how you did it."
Sugar Daddy
@Sean. Forget the grape juice. :-)
When life gives you lemons, make a fine Merlot. Bottle it. Put your own private reserve label on it. Sell it in the finest restaurants.
Mike - Do not despair ! God has bigger and better plans for you! It takes a lot of faith and believing that God can and will turn the bad into good for the good of all. I had to believe that recently when I kept hitting a brick wall. For once in my life I stopped. I dared to just sit and wait for God. I am so glad that I did because the things that are now unfolding in my life are amazing. I will keep you in my prayers and I know God will bless you greatly.
Mike I am so sorry to hear about what you are going through. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember if the Lord is for us who can be against us. Take care and GOD BLess.
Your brother in Christ Jesus

Mike, I, too, believe in prayer! Hang in there. You've been helpful to all of on AR. Keep us posted of the outcome!
Hey, Mike. Hang in there. The good Lord always opens a window when a door is closed. You sure to come out of this whole thing on top. God Bless and you are in my prayers, Jim
Wow, that's got to be a shock!! I'm sure you'll be able to find something out there - The good agents are always in demand.
Best,
Dan
Mike - Sorry to show up so late to the party. I've been off the activerain pipline for a few days, and didn't know that you had so many things happen. Since I've already read your post today, I know that your time away from business was short, but I'm not surprised that you landed on your feet.
In the end, I'm sure you will benefit from the change. Good luck. Keep sending the great pictures.
Mike, this is one of my favorites "It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are". Everything will fall into place for you :)
Mike,
Sorry I missed this one. Just getting caught up. You turned a bad news into a great opportunity. I have no doubt you will thrive and become more successful with Sunstreet Mortgage LLC.
Hi Mike,
Oh my gosh, don't know how I missed this, just found it linking from your most recent post. So sorry to hear what you've been though. You've always been such a pleasure to read and a giver here in the Rain, it's easy to see why you're loved by so many.
