Round numbers make me smile. I don't know why. I turned in early last night, and so here I am, wide awake at 3:30 in the morning, doing what I always do in my spare time - investing that time in my business relationships with great people like you through blogging.
This month marks my second anniversary with the Active Rain Real Estate Network. I was at the bottom of the heap in July of 2007, trying to figure this out.
Everyone else was a giant, and I was a peon. But I kept at it. TLW's blog taught me to reciprocate - to comment on someone's blog when (wonder of wonders) they commented on mine. ...I can't find the TLW's post on reciprocation; somebody please leave an active link to in in your comment...
Margaret Woda was the very first person to comment on my first post, and she's become a friend I have yet to meet.
THANK YOU to Bob Stewart, Jonathan Washburn, and the rest of the gang who started, nurtured, maintained and grew this blogging community from a "hope so" to the powerhouse that it has become.
THANK YOU to Brad Andersohn for great "how to" posts like this one.
THANK YOU especially to you, for taking the time out of your busy day to stop by, read and comment! I surely do appreciate you.
As Roy Peterson over in Waco, TX says in every post and comment, "Life is Good."

Hey Mike - Hope you are doing well and having a great summer! Pretty cool you landed square on a round number:)
Bill,
We're doing all right! Thanks for being the first to comment. Now I have to go back to bed. It's 4:30 in the morning!

Congrats Mike, I'm sure it's been a lot of work, but you've earned the rewards.
Mike - Thanks for "taking my name in vain", as you said in your email. LOL.
While I do often seek out new members for welcoming them to Activerain, that's not how I found you - and I had no idea it was your first post. You wrote something about John Wayne Country and I remember thinking what a neat title... and it was pleasant reading, too. I've been a fan of yours ever since!
Congrats on your points. .your determination and discipline is obviously apparent. .good traits to have in this industry. .
I enjoy your posts. Good luck in 2009. Congratulations on your success.
Mike, Congratulations on this milestone.
Ditto to your kudo's to Activerain and all those who helped us in our journey. TLW's post was a life changer for me too.
Congrats on your anniversary! Active Rain is a good place to be. I'm always amazed at what I learn here.
This blog post moves very slowly because of the huge number of comments.

Enjoy.
OMG, that shows your own contribution and dedication to our community. I'm huffing and puffing toward 100,000, I can't imagine being 359,000 in, kudos to you for your hard work and hopfully you have received payback three-fold in terms of contact, clients and friends!
dito
Bill
Bill,
Thanks!
Janie,
The next 100K will be much, much easier, I promise. :)
Lenn,
Thanks for finding the link to TLW's "Reciprocation" post.
Jen,
I continue to be amazed! See you on your blog.
Missy,
You paved the way for me; thank you.
Gita,
You've been a reader for just about the whole ride, and I appreciate you.
Fernando,
As do you, my friend! Much success today.
Margaret,
Thank you, my dear!
Gabe,
If time is money, this has been a four year degree. :)

Mike - your posts are a daily staple for me. I truly look forward to them and get a little disappointed if I sign on before you've had a chance to write! LOL
It's been an absolute pleasure to read and learn from you. And you are SO right ----- this platform at AR is a powerhouse.
Congratulations on your milestone, my friend!
Mike,
Life is good and so is this community known as Active Rain. It is because of folks like you that I have hung around and developed some really good relationships.
Thank you my friend.
Mike, funny that you were able to show the number in your blog. I hit a round number a couple of weeks ago, much much smaller. :) But I hadn't purchased Snagit yet and didn't know how to save it. Love it. We all move forward with the help of others.
Hi Mike
Round numbers are good, 359,000 on active rain is outstanding.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Mike, fantastic post and I really love Garrison's prayer, it pretty much sums it all up for me! As a fellow outdoors fan you will appreciate that i have spent the last couple of weeks "off the grid" with no contact to the world backpacking in the mountains of New Mexico with a group of Boy Scouts and it was fine, fine indeed!
I also watch the numbers and enjoy trying to manipulate the totals . Keep up the good work.
Now that's a lot of points! Congratulations. Sounds like your hard work has paid off.
Irene,
It's the Google visibility on Active Rain that trips my trigger. More points, more visibility. :)
Terry,
Thanks for stopping by; I will!
Russell,
I'm sure you had a great time backpacking with the Scouts in NM! Thanks for commenting; God is good.
Lou,
It hardly seems possible, my friend.
Connie,
I haven't spent a penny on SnagIt or any other screen capture program. I'll call you with the details.
Don,
You're so very welcome! Igualmente!
Carol,
Thanks for the kind words; it works both ways!

Congratulations on the round numbers. Every once in a while my grocery bill comes to an even number and I delight in that. I hope you'll get to an even 500,000 points.
It's funny to me how obsessed I was with points when I started. In fact, it's what got me started and kept me going. But somewhere along the way I stopped paying attention, probably when I started getting business from my efforts. But every now and then, when there's a milestone, or a unique number I'm about to hit, I find it a good reason to stop, reflect, and yes, be grateful for having discovered this powerful tool.
Congratulations on your milestone!
Coleen,
Thanks. "...a good reason to stop, reflect...and be grateful..." That's the story, isn't it?
Sandy,
You, too? Thanks for stopping by!

Brad,
Thanks for commenting. Check out this link to your photo from TinEye. What's especially interesting is the associated web address. The website is in Arabic.
