June is the hottest month in beautiful Tucson, and it started off with a bang this year. The first week of the month is matching and setting new daily records. The middle of the month will bring in the Monsoon Season, and the summer rains will be welcome across our beautiful, parched desert.
Cicadas are singing in the trees between our home and Golden Gate Mountains, and a Momma Gambels Quail just started a family in a large philodendron outside our living room window.
Tucson is a destination town. Saguaro National Park (east and west, 30 miles apart) is like nothing else in North America, and after flowering in May, the saguaro fruit are ripening this month.
Look up "Mike Jones Tucson" on Facebook to see more of our beautiful desert landscape.

Mike, hot shot is what you have with this one! I love red skies, expecially at sunset.
We looking at 99 for the weekend which is so NOT typical for June for us. I might have to go to the mountains.
I just love your pictures!
You are so kind! Thanks, Leolinda!
Hi Mike Jones - Happy to see you back in the 'Rain! I just noticed I'm not following you - and you're not following me!
Fixing things on my end now...

Tony, I clicked the "follow" button and nothing happened. Today is the day they're changing the look of the platform, though. I'll try again!
